You can easily make changes to your own GuestCompass For that you get access to our CMS. We can teach you our CMS in about one hour. Sign up for an online training, we will contact you to arrange a date for a personal online training.

After the training you will receive your very own GuestCompass CMS certificate.

Certification – piece of cake!

Sign up for an online training with all your colleagues. This training is meant for between 4 and 10 people at the same time. After registration we will contact you to arrange a date for an online webinar. All participants will receive a certificate after successfully completing the webinar and we will send you a cake to celebrate!

Best Practice

Make sure your colleagues stay in the loop

Involve your colleagues in GuestCompass. Show them, ask them for feedback. Your housekeeping staff can refer your guest to GuestCompass as well.
Make sure new staff is also made aware, please view the training instructions in the activation package.

Less is more

Try to use as little text as possible. If you write too much, you’ll lose the reader straight away. Think about your texts and work with photos. Spread long texts over several pages.

Don't do double work

Some things belong on your website, others are only relevant when the guest is with you and therefore belong in GuestCompass. Refer to GC from your website and vice versa where necessary, but never fill in the same form twice.

Keep the GC relevant

You keep the GuestCompass dynamic and relevant thanks to the use of timers but also by quickly creating a short page about a fair just around the corner. Are there any events? Pass them on to us and we’ll make sure they show up and go offline again.

Just do it!

Our CMS works easily and quickly. Not entirely sure whether you are doing the right thing? Just do it, see what it looks like, and adjust it if necessary. You don’t have to hold meetings about it for several weeks. We think it’s important that e.g. the administrators and receptionists (also) do the adjustments, they are in the best position to know what’s going on.

Activate your GuestCompass

GuestCompass will not be found by Google in order to avoid interference with your website. If you do not send your guest/resident/user to the GC, they will not find it. You can see how to do this here.

I can’t view my page

You have created a page but cannot seem to view it? After creating your page, you must ‘activate’ it first by linking it.

How do the timers work?

Is there a Happy Hour each Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.? If you’re a guest, you don’t need this information on a Monday because you’ll be long gone already! You only show this message automatically from e.g. Thursday 3:00 p.m. to Friday 07:00 p.m. with the use of timers.

Can I view the usage data?

You will receive a monthly report from Google Analytics. If you want to know more, please send us a request to get access to the Analytics through your own Google Analytics account.

How do I edit text?

You can easily edit your text but do make sure you do so for all languages.

What is the difference between a Standard and Background Image?

Our system is optimized for mobile but has to look sleek on PCs and tablets as well. That’s why we offer a Background Image possibility as well.

Can I send push notifications?

You can find a PUSH tab in CMS. It’s meant for customers that have a ‘real’ app which the user must download first. Once they have, you can send push notifications to (groups of) users, for example exclusively to those who are at the Zwaluwstraat location to notify them of elevator works, or you can send a message to all users if you have a general notification. You cannot send any push notifications with a web application.
